Synthesis, Characterization and Antibacterial Evaluation of Some Coumarin Derivatives

Coumarin derivatives have shown different biological activities, such as antifungal, antibacterial antiinflammatory, and antioxidant besides antibiotic resistance modulating effects, anti-HIV, hepatoprotective, antitumor effect. So, new coumarin (hydrazones an amide) were synthesized through multisteps reactions. All the target compounds characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, 1HNMR analysis. The then evaluated for their anti-bacterial activity means of well-diffusion method against two gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae) gram-negative (E.coli Pseudomonas aeruginosa). highest was demonstrate compound k2 which found to be highly active pseudomonas aeruginosa.
